The Pueblo of Picuris maintains a beautiful fishing pond (Thu-Tha Lake) which is well stocked for visiting anglers. There are several shaded picnic areas where you can enjoy lunch. Permits for fishing are available at the travel center ($18 per pole- all ages) located at the west entrance to the village.
